Create-A-Play Theater/Art Summer Camp at the Orion--
July 16-20, 2018
Our camp is planned again this year, for the week of July 16, 9 am to 4 pm. You will create your own character, help write the plot, and make sets and costumes for your own play, and present it on stage, on Friday, July 20 at 3 pm.  Half the day is theater, the other half art. Find out more from our registration brochure at our website: www.orionperformingartscenter.org
If you think you might be interested in being part of a debate club here at MAMS, please fill out the survey that it's the main office as soon as you can. Thank you!

There is a 6th and 7th grade combined dance tomorrow night in the cafe from 6-8pm. The cost is $5 and you may use Eagle Bucks for admission. We are in need of chaperones for the dance so please have your parent/guardian call the main office at 729-2950 if they can volunteer some time. We also are in need of individually wrapped snacks for this dance.

Any 8th grade boy interested in playing summer soccer should plan to meet Mr. Rioux this morning in the cafe during advisory. Please make sure you have checked in with your advisor teacher before heading to the cafe.

This is a friendly reminder to all baseball and softball players that you are not to head to the fields until after the walker bell rings for both practices and games.
If any Mt. Ararat MS Wrestling Team members are interested in attending Wrestling Camp at Foxcroft Academy in July the informational forms can be picked up in the Main Office.

Reminder to all athletes that wear cleats for their sports: Cleats are not allowed to be worn in the building, please be sure you have an alternate pair of footwear for inside the building. You must have something on your feet at all times (just not cleats) Thank you.
Please stay off the infields during the baseball and softball season. Games have started and the infields are lined and ready to go! You may go on the outfields and the field hockey fields at anytime. Thank you for your cooperation!

Students are reminded that you are not allowed to stay after school to watch the baseball or softball games or track meets. If you want to watch you need to go home on the bus and then come back with an adult, who will be responsible for you at 3:30, which is when the games start.
MAMS has a dress closet of 50+ semi-formal dresses, short and long that have been donated! Some still even have the original tags on them! They are free to any student who needs or wants to use a dress for the 8th grade Semi-Formal Dance in June. Most have been donated by staff members. If you know of a student who needs or wants a dress for the end of year 8th grade semi-formal dance, please have them email Ms. Swanholm at swanholmd@link75.org and she will work on a time that they can shop and look. She will even do some basic alterations for them if needed. All free of charge, they can keep the dress or I will clean it and recycle if for someone else.
